Hyperliquid Reports Record Monthly Active Addresses of Approximately 291,900
Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures trading platform, has achieved a new milestone with approximately 291,900 monthly active addresses, surpassing its previous record of 258,123 set in June. This marks a significant growth of around 13% in just two months, reflecting the platform's increasing popularity among traders in the cryptocurrency market.
The surge in active users can be attributed to Hyperliquid's recent expansion into real-world asset trading through its HIP-3 markets, allowing traders to access perpetual contracts on assets such as oil and equities. This development has attracted both retail and institutional traders, who benefit from the platform's 24/7 trading capabilities, unlike traditional markets that have set hours.
In addition to real-world asset trading, Hyperliquid's economic model, which includes buybacks and burns of its HYPE token funded by trading fees, has created a positive feedback loop that incentivizes higher trading volumes. As a result, Hyperliquid has positioned itself as one of the leading decentralized exchanges in the competitive perpetual futures market, alongside platforms like dYdX and GMX. However, the introduction of synthetic exposure to traditional assets raises potential regulatory concerns as the user base continues to grow.
