Coinbase Exchange Launches Full Trading for KITE-USD Pair
Coinbase Exchange has activated full trading for the KITE-USD pair, allowing users to execute limit, market, and stop orders. This feature was launched on November 4, 2025, just one day after the initial spot trading for KITE, the native token of an AI-focused Layer-1 blockchain, commenced on the platform.
KITE operates on a proof-of-stake blockchain designed to facilitate autonomous financial transactions through AI agents. The token plays a crucial role in the ecosystem by managing transaction fees, enabling staking for network security, and serving as a governance token for protocol decisions. The project has garnered significant attention from venture capital, raising a total of $33 million, including an $18 million Series A funding round led by PayPal Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.
At its launch, KITE had an initial market capitalization of approximately $159 million, with a fully diluted valuation nearing $883 million. The trading debut generated substantial activity, with hundreds of millions in trading volume recorded. KITE's circulating supply ranges from 1.8 billion to 2.5 billion tokens, out of a maximum supply of 10 billion, indicating that a significant portion of the total supply has yet to enter the market.
