MEXC Completes Migration of $RIO Reserves from Algorand to Ethereum
MEXC Global has successfully migrated its $RIO token reserves from the Algorand blockchain to the Ethereum network, executing the transfer at a 1:1 ratio. This transition, confirmed on September 14, 2026, is part of a recovery strategy initiated by Realio Network, which has been addressing issues related to its reserves following an unspecified incident.
The newly migrated $RIO tokens are now hosted on Ethereum at the contract address 0x94a8b4EE5CD64C79D0Ee816f467EA73009f51aA0, which can be verified on Etherscan. Holders can rest assured that their token amounts remain unchanged despite the migration, as MEXC has ensured that the conversion maintains the same numerical value for users.
Realio Network, a platform focused on tokenizing real-world assets, launched $RIO in March 2023, allowing it to operate across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum and Algorand. The decision to migrate to Ethereum is significant, as it is recognized for its robust infrastructure and larger user base, which can simplify asset management for exchanges like MEXC during recovery periods.
No disruptions to $RIO trading on MEXC have been reported following the migration. Realio Network has indicated that it will provide further updates regarding its recovery efforts through official channels, although details about the initial incident remain limited.
