Coinbase Expands Asset Listing Roadmap with Three New Tokens
Coinbase has announced the addition of three new tokens to its asset listing roadmap: Axis Labs (AXIS), Pearl (PEARL), and Stable (STABLE). The announcement was made on October 19, 2026, via the exchange's official @CoinbaseAssets account. However, the inclusion of these tokens does not guarantee immediate trading availability, as Coinbase will only proceed once two conditions are met: market-making support and technical readiness on the exchange's side.
AXIS is associated with Axis Robotics, a platform focused on enhancing machine learning for robots through data collected from physical interactions. The token has a fixed supply of 1 billion, with approximately 16.5% expected to be in circulation at its token generation event. Pearl, also known as PRL, is linked to the Pearl Layer-1 blockchain, which began operations on April 27, 2026. It employs a proof-of-useful-work mechanism that directs computing efforts towards AI workloads, with a total supply capped at 2.1 billion tokens. Lastly, STABLE serves as the governance token for StableChain, a Layer-1 network that launched its mainnet on December 8, 2025, and utilizes USDT as its native gas, with a fixed supply limit of 100 billion tokens.
The roadmap serves as an advance notice system for Coinbase, indicating assets it plans to support before trading begins. Initial market reactions to the announcement have been subdued, primarily limited to discussions on social media. The actual impact on trading volumes and market sentiment will depend on the timing of formal launch details for each token, as they may go live at different times, each needing to meet the same prerequisites independently.
