Trust Wallet Launches Cross-Chain Trading with MoonPay Integration
Trust Wallet has announced the integration of MoonPay Trade, enabling users to conduct cross-chain trades directly within the app. This feature, which went live on September 24, allows for non-custodial swaps across seven different blockchains, marking a significant enhancement from the previous fiat on-ramp services that MoonPay provided since their partnership began in 2020.
MoonPay Trade, launched on May 21, serves as a cross-chain execution platform capable of routing transactions across more than 200 blockchain protocols. However, the initial integration with Trust Wallet supports only seven blockchains, including major networks like Ethereum and Bitcoin, as well as newer platforms such as Base and Arc. The non-custodial nature of these swaps ensures that users maintain control of their funds throughout the transaction process, enhancing security and efficiency.
The collaboration between Trust Wallet and MoonPay has evolved over the years, transitioning from fiat services to a focus on trading and swaps. This shift was formalized in a multi-year strategic partnership agreement signed on August 14, 2025. MoonPay Trade is not exclusive to Trust Wallet; it also integrated with Ledger in June, indicating a broader strategy to embed trading infrastructure into popular self-custody wallets. As the industry moves towards simplifying cross-chain transactions, the effectiveness and speed of this integration will be closely watched as both companies consider expanding their blockchain coverage.
