Iranian President Comments on U.S. Relations and Protests
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that if the U.S. government seeks to reach an agreement within the international legal framework, it would be welcomed. However, he expressed indifference regarding the timing of such negotiations, whether before or after upcoming elections, emphasizing that it makes no difference to Iran.
Pezeshkian also addressed the issue of protests, asserting that while individuals have the right to protest, the act of 'weaponizing protests' is a separate and concerning matter. His comments reflect ongoing tensions in U.S.-Iran relations and the broader implications of civil unrest in the region.
