John Gaitanis Appointed Chair of Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee
John Gaitanis, the Director of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), has been appointed as the chair of the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC). This committee is responsible for coordinating federal efforts related to autism research and services in the United States.
The IACC plays a crucial role in advising the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on matters concerning autism spectrum disorders. Gaitanis's leadership is expected to enhance collaboration among various federal agencies and stakeholders involved in autism research and advocacy.
