Trump Announces No Immediate Military Action Against Iran Ahead of Midterms

In a recent post on TruthSocial, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States is engaged in productive discussions with Iran and will not initiate military action against the country before the upcoming midterm elections on November 3. Trump emphasized that the blockade against Iran will remain in effect, reiterating his administration's stance that Iran must not be permitted to develop nuclear weapons.

The announcement has provided some relief to oil traders, alleviating concerns about a potential military conflict that could disrupt oil supplies. Trump noted that 22 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz recently, with none originating from or destined for Iran. This development has contributed to a decrease in the geopolitical risk premium associated with oil trading.

Despite the easing of immediate tensions, the blockade continues to be a point of contention. Oil prices have seen a decline, moving away from the previous range of $92.29 to $93.48. Traders are now faced with decisions regarding profit-taking or potential buying opportunities, as prices have recently dipped to $90.26, hovering between key moving averages.
