Trump to Announce Executive Actions to Reduce Diesel Prices
U.S. President Donald Trump is set to announce executive actions on Monday aimed at lowering diesel prices. The measures will include a review by the U.S. Treasury of certain diesel taxes and initiatives to increase access to tax-exempt dyed diesel fuel, as reported by Politico.
As of Monday, the average price of diesel in the United States is $6.32 per gallon, reflecting a decrease of 13 cents from the previous week. However, this price remains $2.63 higher than it was a year ago. Trump has also indicated that he will not impose a ban on diesel exports.
