Shares of Twilio (TWLO) are hovering around $266.06, approaching their 52-week peak of $266.48, following Monday’s announcement from TD Cowen that lifted the company’s price objective to $300 from the previous $260 target. The investment firm maintained its bullish Buy recommendation.
The reasoning behind the upgrade is clear-cut. According to TD Cowen analyst Derrick Wood, the emergence of consumer-facing artificial intelligence assistants represents a fresh catalyst for Twilio’s fundamental communication solutions. These AI-powered agents are projected to drive substantial increases in SMS messaging, voice calls, and WhatsApp activity—all of which pass through Twilio’s infrastructure.
The investment firm additionally highlighted identity verification and security software extensions as supplementary growth areas. TD Cowen anticipates momentum building in the second half of the year linked to these emerging AI applications.
TD Cowen wasn’t the only firm expressing optimism. Rosenblatt Securities announced its own upgrade on Tuesday, increasing its price objective from $275 to $290 while maintaining a Buy recommendation. This revised target suggests approximately 9% potential upside from present trading levels.
The communications platform provider has delivered impressive performance. TWLO shares have surged 87% since the beginning of the year and have climbed roughly 153% over the trailing twelve months. Current trading levels sit comfortably above both the 50-day moving average of $221.76 and the 200-day moving average of $187.55.
Impressive Q2 Performance Strengthens Wall Street Conviction
Twilio’s most recent quarterly report provided substantial validation for analysts. The technology company delivered second-quarter earnings per share of $1.47, surpassing the Street consensus of $1.32 by $0.15. Revenue totaled $1.50 billion, exceeding analyst projections of $1.43 billion and representing 22% year-over-year expansion.
Organic revenue expanded by 17% compared to the same period last year. The company additionally reported a net profit margin of 20.61% along with a return on equity measuring 5.09%.
Management provided third-quarter 2026 guidance projecting EPS between $1.42 and $1.47. The analyst community currently forecasts full-year earnings per share of $3.12.
In the wake of these results, several financial institutions revised their outlook. Wells Fargo increased its target from $225 to $275 while maintaining an Overweight rating. UBS elevated its price objective to $285 with a Buy recommendation. KeyCorp raised its target to $250, also rating the stock Overweight. Needham established a $280 target, highlighting robust performance in messaging and voice revenue streams.
Wall Street Maintains Optimistic Outlook

According to InvestingPro data, twenty-three analysts have adjusted their earnings projections upward for the coming period. Nevertheless, the platform’s Fair Value assessment suggests the stock may be trading above its intrinsic value at present prices.
Institutional shareholders control 84.27% of outstanding shares. Meanwhile, company insiders have reduced their positions. CFO Aidan Viggiano executed stock sales in August at an average transaction price of $234.48. CEO Khozema Shipchandler sold shares in July at $210.43 through a predetermined 10b5-1 trading arrangement.
