U.S. Diesel Prices Reach All-Time High of $6.51 per Gallon

Diesel prices in the United States have reached a record high of $6.51 per gallon, as reported by the American Automobile Association (AAA). This significant increase is attributed to ongoing disruptions in energy supplies from the Middle East and issues affecting Russian refineries, which have contributed to a tightening of global fuel supplies as winter approaches.

In comparison, diesel prices were considerably lower a year ago, averaging $3.70 per gallon. The sharp rise in costs is raising concerns among consumers and businesses that rely heavily on diesel fuel for transportation and logistics, potentially impacting various sectors of the economy.
