US Stock Indices Decline Amid Inflation Concerns

Major US stock indices are experiencing declines as inflation concerns continue to impact market sentiment. The Nasdaq Composite has fallen by 1.15%, while the Nasdaq 100 is down 1.30%, and the S&P 500 has decreased by 0.42%. Despite these overall declines, the technical outlook for each index varies significantly, indicating different levels of risk and potential for recovery.

The S&P 500 is currently trading between its 100-hour moving average at 7,746.68 and its 200-hour moving average at 7,706.33. This range suggests a neutral bias, with market participants awaiting a decisive movement. A sustained rise above 7,746.68 could shift sentiment positively, while a drop below 7,706.33 would likely empower sellers.

In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite is positioned below both its 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages, indicating a technical advantage for sellers. However, it remains above a critical support level at 26,288.75, which, if breached, could lead to further selling pressure. The Nasdaq 100 is also under significant pressure, having fallen below its 100-day moving average at 29,624.02, with today's low of 29,452.10 surpassing previous lows. This trend raises concerns about sustained selling momentum in the index.
