PANews reported on October 2, citing The Block, that Aave founder Stani Kulechov said he was "disappointed" with the MiCA consultation responses from the European Central Bank and the European Banking Authority. He criticized the proposed appropriateness tests for DeFi access, as well as a possible certification regime for DeFi lending protocols, arguing that these restrictions could create a "walled garden" and limit access to open financial networks.
