Strive Launches IPO for New Preferred Shares to Raise $500 Million

Bitcoin Treasury Company Strive (ASST) has announced plans to launch a new class of perpetual preferred stock, designated as SATS, with a fixed dividend rate of 15%. The company aims to issue 5 million shares priced at $100 each, targeting a total capital raise of $500 million. The SATS shares will have a lower repayment priority compared to Strive's existing perpetual preferred stock, SATA, which currently offers a floating dividend rate of 13%.

Both SATS and SATA will provide daily dividend payments. Following the completion of the issuance, Strive intends to establish a dividend reserve that will cover 18 months of SATS dividend payments. The funds raised from this initiative will be allocated towards purchasing Bitcoin, acquiring income-generating assets, or repurchasing shares.

Strive has been actively increasing its Bitcoin holdings, having purchased 3,311 Bitcoins last week. This acquisition has brought the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 32,773, valued at approximately $2.7 billion at current market prices. This marks a significant increase from less than 20,000 Bitcoins held just three months ago, positioning Strive as a notable player among Bitcoin treasury companies, particularly in contrast to larger competitors like Strategy.
