Michael Saylor: Bitcoin will return to $100,000, MSCI should reconsider index rules

PANews reported on October 14, citing Bloomberg, that Michael Saylor, co-founder and chairman of bitcoin treasury company Strategy, said bitcoin has bottomed out at just below $60,000 and is now recovering toward the $80,000 range, and is expected to continue rising and break back above $100,000. Bitcoin's annual growth rate will reach 20% to 30% over the next few years, and Strategy will continue to accumulate bitcoin and fund purchases by issuing more securities.

In addition, Michael Saylor also criticized MSCI's proposed new index rules, saying the rules could exclude companies that create value primarily by accumulating assets rather than operating businesses from global equity indexes, and Strategy could be removed as a result. He believes MSCI's move is biased against digital assets and hopes the institution will reconsider. MSCI is expected to announce its decision this Friday. JPMorgan estimated last November that if Strategy were removed, as much as $2.8 billion in funds could face outflow risk.
