The Hashgraph Group Achieves IBM Silver Partner Status and Launches IDTrust on IBM Cloud
The Hashgraph Group, a Swiss enterprise specializing in Hedera distributed ledger technology, has attained IBM Silver Partner status and successfully listed its self-sovereign identity platform, IDTrust, on the IBM Cloud Catalog. This milestone marks IDTrust as the first commercial enterprise application built on Hedera to be featured on a major cloud marketplace, providing The Hashgraph Group with direct access to IBM's extensive global customer base.
IDTrust enables organizations to issue, verify, and manage digital credentials for individuals, machines, and AI agents, adhering to W3C standards and leveraging cryptographic trust anchored in Hedera's distributed ledger. The platform is designed to comply with the European Union's eIDAS 2.0 and the EU AI Act, which are shaping digital identity and AI regulations in Europe. Its capabilities include a “Know-Your-Agent” feature that allows businesses to authenticate autonomous AI agents, which is increasingly important as companies adopt AI for tasks such as customer service and supply chain management.
The partnership with IBM enhances the existing relationship, as IBM has been a member of Hedera's governing council since 2019. This collaboration extends from governance involvement to commercial distribution, with The Hashgraph Group already implementing a verified caller ID service for a European telecom provider and exploring applications in supply chain traceability and carbon markets. As the demand for AI integration in enterprise applications rises, IDTrust's compliance with regulatory frameworks positions it favorably in the European market.
