Nine Companies Oppose Tokenized Stock Trading on OKXICE, Nasdaq Withdraws

Nine companies, including CoreWeave, Broadcom, Verizon, and UnitedHealth, have voiced their opposition to the trading of tokenized versions of their stocks on the OKXICE platform. OKXICE is a joint venture between the cryptocurrency trading platform OKX and the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).

In a related development, Nasdaq has announced its decision to withdraw from the initiative, stating that it will not tokenize its own stocks under the framework established by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This withdrawal reflects a growing caution among traditional financial institutions regarding the integration of cryptocurrency and tokenized assets into mainstream trading practices.
