Bitcoin Tests Key Moving Averages Amidst Volatile Trading
Bitcoin has been fluctuating around its 100- and 200-hour moving averages, which are converging near $82,500. Throughout the week, the cryptocurrency has experienced several attempts to break above these averages, but sellers have consistently pushed the price lower after each modest rally. The latest trading activity has brought Bitcoin back to this critical level, creating a pivotal moment for traders as they assess the next direction for the asset.
At the beginning of the week, Bitcoin was trading above its 100-hour moving average and attempted to reach its 200-hour moving average. However, after a brief rally that peaked at $84,178, the momentum faltered, leading to a decline below the 100-hour moving average. Following a brief recovery, the price fell again, breaking through the lower support range of $80,106 to $81,183 before rebounding back above this zone.
Currently, Bitcoin's price is once again testing the converged moving averages. For buyers, a sustained break above $82,500 could signal a shift in momentum, with potential targets set at $84,178 and higher resistance levels between $85,578 and $87,374. Conversely, sellers aim to maintain pressure at this level, with a focus on pushing the price back towards the support area of $80,106 to $81,183. The outcome of this test will be crucial in determining the short-term trend for Bitcoin.
