Bitcoin Price Recovers After Brief Drop Below Key Support Level

Bitcoin's price experienced a significant drop today, reaching a low of $79,694, which fell below a critical swing area identified between $80,106 and $81,183. This swing area has been a reference point for traders since August 20. The expectation was that breaking below this level would lead to increased selling pressure; however, the anticipated momentum from sellers did not materialize, allowing Bitcoin to rebound.

Following the low, Bitcoin's price recovered, closing back above the swing area's upper boundary and extending its recovery to $82,537. This rebound alleviated some bearish pressure and returned the price within a broader trading range that extends toward $87,374. The next significant challenge for buyers lies at the converging 100- and 200-hour moving averages, located near $82,710. Success in surpassing these moving averages could shift the short-term market bias toward the upside.

If Bitcoin can maintain its position above these moving averages, further targets include $84,178, the high for the week, and $85,578, which marks the lower boundary of the upper swing area. However, if the price fails to break above the moving averages, it may indicate that the recovery is merely a temporary bounce within the established range, with potential downside risks returning to the lower support area. A sustained move below $80,106 would strengthen sellers' positions and could lead to a revisit of today's low.
