Dar Global starts sales of Trump-branded villas in Qatar
The developer Dar Global has launched sales of Trump-branded villas in Qatar, with construction due to start in 2027.
Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi-listed Dar Al Arkan, said it expected to hand over the villas in the Trump International Simaisma project by the end of 2030.
Prices in the gated community start at QAR5 million ($1.4 million).
Ziad El Chaar, chief executive of Dar Global, said the project offered international investors 100 percent freehold ownership under Qatar’s foreign investment and property-linked residency rules.
Dar Global began the Trump International Simaisma project in May 2025. It includes an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse and branded villas overlooking the golf course and beach.
Qatari prime minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani announced the wider Simaisma project in 2024. Diar Real Estate Investment Company is developing it.
Apartment sales in Doha fell by almost half in the first half of 2026, but villa sales contracts rose 28 percent, AGBI reported in August, citing data from the government’s Qatar Real Estate Platform.
Earlier this month AGBI reported that Dar Global had borrowed millions of dollars from its Saudi parent this year and was ready to buy distressed assets in prime central London, including Mayfair, Belgravia and Knightsbridge.
In January, before the US-Israeli war with Iran, the company launched two Trump-branded projects in Saudi Arabia. It also has a Trump-branded project in Oman.

Even before the war, Qatar Development Bank’s Mumtaz Ali Khan told AGBI in October 2025 that property developers were struggling to find buyers and investors were increasingly directing capital towards other Gulf markets.
“[Real estate developers] are discouraged,” Khan said. “When they construct, there is no buyer. People are holding and investing in other markets like Dubai and Riyadh.”
