      FX Option Expiries Set for August 24 at 10 AM ET

      On August 24 at 10 AM ET, several foreign exchange (FX) options will expire, with notable strike prices for major currency pairs. The EUR/USD pair has significant expiries at 1.1680, totaling €1 billion, and at 1.1640, amounting to €1.33 billion. Other key levels include the USD/JPY at 159.00 with expiries of US$350.12 million and 157.85 at US$542.01 million.

      In addition, the GBP/USD has expiries at 1.3530 worth GBP 282.33 million, while the USD/CHF has levels at 0.8100 for US$300 million and 0.8000 for US$350 million. The USD/CAD will see expiries at 1.3935 for US$304.46 million, 1.3855 for US$269.60 million, and 1.3800 for US$230 million. The AUD/USD has a notable expiry at 0.7120, totaling AUD 604.23 million, and the EUR/GBP at 0.8570 with expiries of EUR 100.35 million.

      Traders closely monitor these expiry levels as they can influence market movements. The expiration price levels serve as a focal point, often attracting the currency price towards them as market makers engage in hedging activities. This behavior tends to stabilize prices and reduce volatility as the expiration time approaches.
