IC Markets Highlights Evolving Trading Landscape at Forex Expo Dubai 2026
IC Markets, a prominent online trading provider, participated in Forex Expo Dubai 2026, which took place on September 22-23 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event attracted over 16,000 traders, brokers, and industry professionals. During an executive interview, Jason Hughes, General Manager of IC MENA, emphasized that merely having market access is no longer sufficient for brokers. He stated that the quality of the trading experience, particularly during volatile market conditions, is what truly differentiates a broker.
Hughes discussed the increasing sophistication of traders in the UAE and the broader region, noting their exposure to various markets and asset classes. He highlighted that traders now expect the same level of technology and service as they would receive from major global financial centers. As automation and advanced trading tools become more prevalent, the expectations for brokers continue to rise, necessitating a robust infrastructure to support trading activities.
On September 23, Hughes participated in a leadership panel focused on managing foreign exchange and cryptocurrency risks from the UAE. The discussion addressed the need for brokerages to swiftly adapt their risk strategies in response to geopolitical events and market volatility. Hughes pointed out the advantages and challenges of operating from the UAE, which is emerging as a significant international financial hub. IC Markets was also recognized as the 'World's Most Trusted Broker' during the expo, underscoring its commitment to enhancing its global presence and service offerings.
