Nasdaq Indices Show Signs of Recovery After Recent Declines

The Nasdaq Composite and Nasdaq 100 indices have rebounded after finding support during recent trading sessions. Both indices experienced a decline following the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) rate decision, but buyers stepped in to halt the downward trend. The Nasdaq 100 fell below its key 100-day moving average at 29,230, but found support in a swing area between 28,953.06 and 28,822.67, which has historically attracted buyers since June.

In early trading, the Nasdaq 100 opened sharply higher, surpassing the 100-hour moving average at 29,310.79 and trading near 29,349.87. The next significant target for buyers is the 200-hour moving average at 29,431.12. For the Nasdaq Composite, a similar pattern emerged as it bounced back from a test of the lower end of its swing area between 25,978.42 and 25,910.82, closing near its 100-day moving average at 26,026. The index is currently near the 100-hour moving average at 26,294.54, with the 200-hour moving average at 26,352.41 as the next hurdle.

Both indices are currently trading in a neutral zone between the 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages. For buyers, maintaining positions above these moving averages is crucial for establishing control, while a drop below them could signal a return to bearish conditions. The upcoming trading sessions will be critical in determining whether the recent rebound can lead to a more sustained recovery or if sellers will regain control.
