TRON (TRX) Hits 400M Accounts While Tron Inc. Amasses 711M Token Treasury
Key Highlights
- The TRON blockchain reached 400 million accounts on August 23, 2026
- Network transfer volume has exceeded $29 trillion through 15.2 billion transactions
- Tron Inc., a Nasdaq-traded company, accumulated 711.2 million TRX tokens valued at approximately $245 million
- Tron Inc. shares increased 7.49% on August 24, finishing at $2.01
- TRX token trades at approximately $0.338, reflecting a 1.81% decline
The TRON blockchain achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 400 million total accounts on August 23, 2026, as confirmed by TRON DAO. Accompanying this achievement, the network has facilitated over 15.2 billion transactions with cumulative transfer volume exceeding $29 trillion.

Reaching the first 100 million accounts required four years following the genesis block launch on June 25, 2018. The blockchain subsequently achieved 200 million accounts by December 7, 2023, reached 300 million on April 12, 2025, and has now surpassed the 400 million threshold — effectively doubling its user base in less than three years.
Justin Sun, TRON’s founder, characterized this achievement as evidence of “growing demand for accessible blockchain infrastructure.” He identified stablecoin payments, international money transfers, and tokenized assets as primary applications fueling this expansion.

TRON presently supports the largest circulating volume of USDT stablecoin, surpassing $94 billion. Additionally, the network maintains over $28 billion in total value locked (TVL).
Cryptocurrency analyst OxPink on X emphasized this achievement, observing that 2,982 days elapsed from TRON’s inception for addresses to exceed the 400 million threshold. The analysis documented the complete progression of account milestones from the genesis block through the current record.
Tron Inc. Establishes $245M Token Position
In related developments, Tron Inc., a Nasdaq-listed entity previously operating as SRM Entertainment, revealed its acquisition of 145,002 TRX tokens on August 24, elevating its aggregate holdings to 711.2 million TRX, worth approximately $245 million.
The company’s share price advanced 7.49% on that trading day, settling at $2.01. Tron Inc. is among an expanding group of publicly traded companies implementing cryptocurrency treasury strategies extending beyond Bitcoin, including Ethereum-focused entities such as BitMine.
Distinguishing Corporate Accumulation from Network Expansion
It’s important to distinguish between these two developments. Tron Inc.’s TRX accumulation represents a corporate treasury strategy. This action doesn’t directly indicate heightened user engagement or transaction volume on the TRON network.
Network expansion indicators — including accounts, transactions, and TVL — serve as distinct measurements. While both narratives are unfolding simultaneously, they remain functionally independent.
TRON secured inclusion in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index, evaluated on protocol functionality, on-chain liquidity, and network engagement. The blockchain has simultaneously broadened institutional collaborations with Anchorage Digital, Securitize, and Bitnomial.
At the time of publication, TRX is trading at $0.338, representing a 1.81% decrease.
