BNB Chain Growth Director Emphasizes Need for Sustainable Business Models in Blockchain

Nina Rong, Chief Growth Officer of BNB Chain, has stated that reducing gas fees is no longer the primary focus for the blockchain industry. During a discussion about the fee model debate between Arbitrum founder Steven Goldfeder and Solana co-founder Toly, Rong highlighted the importance of developing sustainable business models for public chains.

Rong pointed out that the future of blockchain relies on reinvesting profits into technology and growth rather than solely concentrating on lowering transaction costs. She noted that the current business models could include gas fees, revenue sharing, or other collaborative approaches. Over the past five years, the blockchain sector has primarily focused on issuing grants and investments while also striving to decrease gas fees.

To ensure the longevity and success of blockchain companies, Rong emphasized the necessity of establishing a solid business structure, suggesting that this shift in focus is crucial for the industry's evolution over the next five years.
