Chainalysis: Tokenization Is Expanding the Overseas Market for U.S. Treasuries, With U.S. Holdings Accounting for Only 10.5%

PANews reported on October 18 that Chainalysis published an analysis stating that tokenization is expanding the overseas market for U.S. Treasuries. According to its 2026 data, tokenized U.S. Treasuries held by Italy, Portugal, and Singapore (by geography) account for 66.9% of the total, while the U.S. share is 10.5%. Chainalysis noted that tokenization lowers the minimum holding threshold and eliminates the need to open a U.S. brokerage account, thereby providing overseas investors with another avenue to invest in U.S. Treasuries.
