Venice AI Becomes Third Largest Crypto AI Platform by Market Capitalization
Venice AI, a privacy-focused generative AI platform founded by Erik Voorhees, has reached a significant milestone by becoming the third-largest project in the crypto AI sector, boasting a market capitalization between $1.61 billion and $1.66 billion. The platform's VVV token is currently trading near its all-time high of approximately $34, reflecting strong market interest and user engagement.
Launched in May 2024, Venice AI has quickly gained traction, amassing over 4 million users and processing around 250 billion tokens daily. The platform's annualized run-rate revenue exceeds $100 million, underscoring its rapid growth in the competitive AI landscape. The VVV token, which serves primarily for staking, allows holders to access API inference capacity without incurring per-request fees.
In July 2026, Venice AI successfully closed a $65 million Series A funding round, valuing the company at $1 billion. This round was led by Dragonfly and Coinbase Ventures, marking Venice's first equity raise. Additionally, the platform launched a second token, DIEM, in August 2025, which represents tokenized perpetual compute credits and can be obtained by locking staked VVV tokens.
On September 18, 2026, Venice AI announced a strategic integration with the Circle Agent Marketplace, enabling USDC-settled AI services. This partnership enhances Venice's privacy-focused inference capabilities by allowing transactions to be settled in USDC automatically, streamlining the process for AI agents utilizing Venice's models.
