Akedo Games Leads $337 Million in Token Unlocks This Week
This week, approximately $337 to $338 million worth of locked cryptocurrency tokens are set to be released into the market, with Akedo Games (AKE) leading the pack at an estimated $62.42 million. The token unlocks, scheduled from October 19 to October 25, 2026, also include significant contributions from LayerZero (ZRO), Plasma (XPL), and Humanity Protocol (H).
Akedo Games' release represents about 9.25% of its market capitalization, which is estimated between $680 million and $700 million. Following AKE, LayerZero is expected to unlock around $47.14 million on October 20, while Plasma and Humanity Protocol are slated for releases of approximately $17.52 million and $15.32 million, respectively, on October 25. Other smaller projects, including YZY and SoSoValue, will contribute an additional $15 million combined, but the top six unlocks account for less than half of the total.
The largest single day for token unlocks is anticipated on October 21, with a total of nearly $94.88 million, primarily driven by Akedo Games. Historical trends indicate that significant unlocks can lead to price fluctuations, as recipients may choose to sell their tokens shortly after they are released. This week’s unlocks are particularly noteworthy for traders and holders of AKE, ZRO, XPL, and H, as they prepare for the influx of new supply.
