RedStone Launches Sanctions Oracle for Onchain Compliance on Ethereum
RedStone has introduced its Sanctions Oracle on the Ethereum mainnet as of October 7, 2026, enabling smart contracts to verify wallets against 463 official sanctions lists. This modular oracle network allows for real-time compliance checks, ensuring that flagged addresses can be blocked with a single read call from the smart contract, streamlining the transaction process.
The Sanctions Oracle compiles sanctioned addresses into an onchain registry sourced from various official entities, including the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations. The oracle updates its sanctions list weekly, with each update timestamped onchain, allowing contracts to verify the recency of the data before executing transactions.
RedStone designed the Sanctions Oracle to be a drop-in replacement for users of the Chainalysis Sanctions Oracle, facilitating an easy transition for protocols already utilizing the previous version. The company, operational since 2021, claims to have maintained zero downtime or mispricing incidents while securing billions of dollars in asset value across over 100 blockchain networks. The introduction of this oracle is part of RedStone's expanding product lineup, which includes other oracles tailored for high-frequency trading and liquidation-aware feeds.
