Apollo extends daily pricing across $850bn credit platform
Apollo has expanded its daily pricing initiative across its $850bn credit business, extending the information to investors in direct lending, asset-backed finance, multi-credit and opportunistic credit strategies.
The move follows the launch in July of daily pricing for investors in Apollo’s investment-grade Fixed Income Replacement product suite. Asset-level pricing for eligible funds is expected to become available to investors from 30 October.
Apollo said the initiative is designed to bring greater pricing transparency and more standardised data to private credit, as the asset class increasingly develops infrastructure similar to that found in established public credit markets.
John Zito, co-president of Apollo Asset Management, said investors were increasingly seeking greater consistency between their public and private market portfolios, including more frequent pricing and standardised information.
The expansion forms part of a broader programme by Apollo to develop infrastructure around private markets and improve price discovery. In March, the firm partnered with Intercontinental Exchange to launch ICE Private Credit Intelligence, which uses unique ICE IDs to standardise reference data for private assets and is intended to support analytics and independent pricing over time.
More than 5,000 ICE IDs have been created to date, according to Apollo.
The asset manager has also continued to build its secondary trading capabilities. Its dedicated secondary trading desk, established in 2024, has facilitated more than $30 billion in trading volume, according to the firm.
Apollo said the combination of more frequent pricing, standardised asset-level data and secondary market activity is intended to support greater transparency and participation as private credit becomes a larger component of institutional portfolios.
Daily Pricing is available to eligible investors through Apollo’s investor portal, with information relating to registered funds published through the relevant channels for each vehicle.
Apollo said the daily figures represent estimated fair values calculated using its internal pricing methodology and benchmarked against relevant public market data. The figures are intended for informational and transparency purposes and do not represent market-clearing prices or definitive valuations.
