      Baselayer Secures $35 Million in Series A Funding for Identity Solutions

      Baselayer, an identity and risk infrastructure company, has successfully raised $35 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by M13 and included participation from several venture capital firms, including Torch Capital, Picus Ventures, Afore Capital, and Matt Thompson of Socure.

      The company, which is trusted by one in five financial institutions across the United States, plans to utilize the new funds to roll out its agentic identity suite. This suite aims to enhance identity verification and risk management solutions for financial services, addressing increasing demands for security and compliance in the sector.
