Bitcoin Price Faces Key Support as Sellers Push Down from $87,334

Bitcoin's price has retreated from a critical resistance level of $87,334, as sellers successfully defended this ceiling earlier today. The cryptocurrency is currently trading around $84,241, situated below the upper swing area between $85,578 and $87,334, but above the 38.2% retracement level at $83,916. The market's focus now shifts to whether buyers can maintain support at these levels or if sellers will continue to exert downward pressure.

The $85,578 to $87,334 range has proven significant in previous trading sessions, with multiple tests dating back to late 2025 and early 2026. For buyers to regain control, they must first reclaim the $85,578 level and then break above $87,334. Failure to do so could provide sellers with further opportunities to push prices lower.

Should buyers manage to hold above the 38.2% retracement at $83,916, they can keep the recovery hopes alive. However, a drop below this level would shift attention to the lower swing area between $81,517 and $82,833, which previously served as resistance. The rising 100-bar moving average, located near $82,773, also falls within this zone, making it a critical area for buyers to defend. If this support fails, the next targets for sellers would be $80,546 and $78,425. As the weekend approaches, the dynamics between buyers and sellers will be crucial in determining the market's direction.
