BofA Warns of Increased Market Volatility Amid Significant Outflows

Bank of America (BofA) has issued a warning regarding heightened volatility in the markets, citing a recent trend of significant outflows from U.S. equity funds. Over the past three weeks, these funds have experienced outflows totaling $14.2 billion, marking the largest withdrawal since January.

The bank attributes this shift to rising Treasury yields, with oil prices surpassing $100 per barrel and diesel prices reaching record highs. BofA suggests that a sense of complacency among investors, coupled with a lack of urgency in policy responses, is creating a precarious environment that could lead to increased market fluctuations.
