Capital B Makes Major Move: French Firm Adds 376 Bitcoin in $29.5M Treasury Expansion
Key Highlights
- Capital B, a French Bitcoin treasury company, secured 376 BTC in a $29.5 million transaction, marking its most substantial acquisition since September 2025
- Funding came from capital raising efforts totaling roughly 30.1 million euros, featuring a private placement with participation from Adam Back and TOBAM
- The firm’s cumulative Bitcoin reserves now stand at 3,521 BTC, positioning it at 25th globally among public corporate Bitcoin holders
- This acquisition places Capital B 15 BTC ahead of Swedish competitor H100 Group in the European market
- At announcement time, Bitcoin’s market price hovered near $79,500
Capital B, a French Bitcoin treasury organization, has completed a substantial acquisition of 376 Bitcoin valued at 25.3 million euros ($29.5 million), representing its most significant single transaction in approximately twelve months.
The transaction received financing through approximately 30.1 million euros raised via capital initiatives, including a private placement offering. Adam Back, a prominent cryptocurrency pioneer, expanded his ownership position to 17.64% by contributing an additional 7.6 million euros to the funding round. Swissquote Bank Europe facilitated the transaction execution, while custody services were managed by Taurus.
Following this acquisition, Capital B’s aggregate Bitcoin position reaches 3,521 BTC. The organization has invested 309.4 million euros in constructing its Bitcoin treasury, resulting in an average acquisition cost of 87,878 euros per coin.
Capital B Advances in Global Corporate Bitcoin Holdings
This latest purchase elevates Capital B to the 25th position worldwide among publicly listed corporations ranked by Bitcoin reserves, based on data from BitcoinTreasuries.net.

Within European markets, the company now edges out Sweden’s H100 Group, which maintains 3,506 BTC in its treasury. H100 had significantly expanded its position in August following the acquisition of Norwegian entities controlling 2,455 BTC. Germany’s Bitcoin Group SE maintains European leadership with 3,605 BTC.
Additionally, Capital B maintains a separate operational reserve of 61 BTC, which remains excluded from its official treasury calculations.
The organization underwent a corporate transformation in July 2025, changing from its former identity as The Blockchain Group to Capital B, signaling its commitment to a Bitcoin-focused treasury approach.
Corporate Bitcoin Accumulation Trend Continues Across Global Markets
Capital B joins numerous other corporations actively expanding their Bitcoin reserves.
Japanese firm Metaplanet accumulated 2,823 BTC during Q2 with an investment of approximately $222 million. The company’s total position now reaches 43,000 BTC, securing its position as the third-largest public corporate Bitcoin holder, trailing only Strategy and Twenty One Capital.
Strategy, maintaining the world’s most substantial corporate Bitcoin treasury, recommenced acquisitions in August following a two-month hiatus. The company purchased 4,603 BTC for $370 million, elevating its comprehensive holdings to 845,050 BTC obtained through cumulative investments of $63.3 billion.
However, the trend isn’t universal. Both K Wave Media and Sequans Communications have initiated processes to liquidate their Bitcoin treasury holdings.
Capital B’s previous purchase of comparable magnitude occurred in September 2025, when it secured 551 BTC for 54.7 million euros. A modest acquisition of merely 6 BTC in August highlighted the September transaction as a significant return to substantial accumulation activity.
Bitcoin was trading at approximately $79,500 when the announcement was released, representing a decline from a recent peak of roughly $81,700 recorded the preceding Thursday.
