CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc., CRWD
During intraday trading, the stock reached a new 52-week peak of $229.08, accompanied by approximately 23.3 million shares changing hands—nearly triple the typical one-month trading volume.
On a non-GAAP basis, earnings per share hit $0.31, exceeding the consensus forecast of $0.29 by two cents. Total revenue achieved $1.47 billion, marking a 25.6% increase from the year-ago period and surpassing projections by $30 million.
Subscription-based revenue expanded 27% to $1.40 billion. Meanwhile, professional services revenue set a new record at $71 million.
The most impressive metric was net new annual recurring revenue. This figure reached an unprecedented $333 million during the quarter, reflecting 51% growth compared to the same period last year. Total ARR climbed beyond 25% to $5.84 billion, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of accelerating expansion.
Growing Platform Adoption
CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform is driving increased customer investment. Approximately 51% of subscription-based customers now utilize six or more modules, while 35% have adopted seven or more.
The Falcon Flex offering is also contributing to higher customer spending. Organizations transitioning from conventional subscriptions to Flex experienced average ARR increases exceeding 40% during the quarter.
Additionally, the company highlighted growing interest in AI readiness solutions and incident response capabilities, which leadership views as opportunities for expanded platform usage.
Upgraded Financial Outlook
Leadership increased its fiscal 2027 net new ARR projection to approximately $1.355 billion at the midpoint. This represents roughly $116 million above the original FY2027 forecast, suggesting around 34% year-over-year expansion compared to the initial 22.5% estimate.
Annual revenue guidance was elevated to a range of $5.99 billion to $6.01 billion.
For the third quarter, CrowdStrike anticipates revenue between $1.523 billion and $1.529 billion, indicating 23% to 24% year-over-year growth.
Notwithstanding the impressive results, shares retreated over 6% the morning following the rally. Valuation metrics continue to drive investor debate, with the forward price-to-sales ratio hovering near 40x and forward P/E at 153.
Analyst sentiment reflects a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Multiple analysts who expressed caution before the earnings release noted that substantial growth expectations appear already embedded in the current share price.
The 200-day moving average stands at $139.62, approximately 35% beneath the post-earnings closing price. The 52-week low of $85.68 now sits more than 165% below where shares closed after the report.
Prior to Thursday’s movement, CrowdStrike’s 52-week high stood at $227.50 before reaching the new intraday peak of $229.08.
