Gold Futures Show Mild Recovery Amid Resistance Levels

Gold futures have demonstrated a mildly bullish recovery, with prices reclaiming the session's volume-weighted average price (VWAP) near 4,488 and approaching the 4,490 high-volume area. The short-term prediction score currently stands at +2 out of 10, indicating a cautious optimism, though significant resistance remains at levels of 4,500, 4,513, and ultimately 4,530-4,540, which are crucial for reversing the broader bearish trend.

Recent trading activity has shown buyers defending the VWAP level after a brief dip below it, suggesting a potential shift in market dynamics. The latest completed 30-minute bar closed at 4,489.5, indicating that buyers are attempting to maintain control above the VWAP and the point of control (POC) around 4,490. Holding above these levels is essential for sustaining the current bullish sentiment, although the market has yet to establish significant acceptance above the critical resistance zone of 4,495-4,500.

Despite the intraday recovery, the larger market structure remains bearish following a decline from above 4,700 to recent lows around 4,445-4,446. A sustained recovery above 4,530-4,540 is necessary for a more definitive trend reversal. Traders are advised to monitor the price action closely, particularly around the 4,477-4,513 range, to gauge whether the current bullish outlook can be maintained or if the market will revert to a bearish stance.
