Iranian Fuel Shipments Continue Despite U.S. Naval Blockade

Iran has reportedly exported 4.1 million barrels of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) aboard at least eight tankers since July 2026, circumventing the U.S. naval blockade imposed on its oil exports. This development highlights Iran's ongoing efforts to maintain its fuel trade despite international sanctions.

In addition to LPG shipments, a separate consignment of Iranian jet fuel has reached Myanmar, indicating a diversification of Iran's export destinations. Some of the LPG cargoes are believed to be en route to China, further demonstrating Iran's ability to navigate around restrictions on its energy exports.

In contrast, Iranian crude oil exports have reportedly fallen to zero in September 2026, as tracked by Kpler, reflecting the impact of the blockade and international sanctions on Iran's oil production capabilities.
