The chief executive, operating through an affiliated entity, acquired 692,506 ordinary shares on August 26, 2026, paying an average of $14.37 per share for a total investment of $9,949,171.94. The transaction was formally disclosed through an SEC Form 4 filing.
Following this acquisition, Siemiatkowski’s total holdings in KLAR shares reached 25.3 million. Shares concluded trading at $14.21 on August 26, coinciding with the timing of his purchase.
This significant purchase arrives as KLAR has shed approximately 64% of its market value throughout the past year. Trading within a 52-week range of $12.06 to $57.20, the current share price stands roughly 18% above the annual low.
Such insider purchases rarely go unnoticed. When a company’s chief executive commits $10 million of personal capital to stock trading near multi-year lows, investors typically interpret it as a strong confidence signal.
Deutsche Bank Makes Substantial Investment
Klarna has captured more than just insider interest. Deutsche Bank dramatically expanded its KLAR holdings by an astounding 4,315% during the second quarter of 2026, adding 143,615 shares to its portfolio. The financial institution now controls 146,943 shares, representing approximately $2.97 million in value at the quarter’s conclusion.
Additional institutional players have also been building positions. Global Retirement Partners expanded its stake by 800% in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Leonteq Securities, US Bancorp DE, CWM LLC, and Farther Finance Advisors have either established new holdings or increased existing positions in recent quarters.
The fintech company currently maintains a market capitalization of $5.38 billion, with its 50-day moving average at $18.61 and 200-day moving average positioned at $16.39.
Wall Street Outlook and Recent Financial Performance
Wall Street’s perspective on KLAR remains divided. The stock currently holds a consensus “Hold” recommendation with an average price objective of $30.39, representing substantial upside from present levels.
Deutsche Bank maintains a “Buy” rating with a $27.00 target, upgraded from $18.00 in July. Bank of America similarly rates the stock “Buy” with a $23.00 objective. BMO Capital Markets reduced its target from $19.00 down to $15.00 in August while maintaining a “Market Perform” stance.
Among analysts tracking the stock, one maintains a Strong Buy rating, eight recommend Buy, thirteen suggest Hold, and one advises Sell.
Klarna released its second quarter results on August 18, delivering earnings per share of $0.01 compared to analyst expectations of a $0.06 loss. The $0.07 earnings surprise represents a significant positive development.
Quarterly revenue reached $1.04 billion, representing a 26.6% increase year-over-year and surpassing the consensus estimate of $992.56 million.
The payment technology firm currently operates with a return on equity of -5.39% and a net margin of -3.54%. Full-year projections from analysts anticipate an EPS of -$0.01.
BMO reduced its price objective to $15.00 on August 19, shortly following the quarterly earnings announcement.
