Main Capital Partners makes UK debut with majority investment in Orgvue
London-based private equity firm Main Capital Partners has made its first UK investment with the acquisition of a majority stake in Orgvue, a London-headquartered provider of strategic workforce management software.
The transaction will see the firm partner with Orgvue’s management team to accelerate the company’s next phase of international growth.
Main plans to support further product development, expand Orgvue’s presence in international markets, increase penetration of its enterprise customer base and pursue selective add-on acquisitions to broaden the platform’s capabilities.
Orgvue provides cloud-based software that enables large organisations to design, plan and optimise their workforce structures. The company employs approximately 250 people across offices in North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific and serves close to 200 enterprise customers globally.
Its customer base includes HM Government, Mars, Danone and Aviva, while more than 50 international consulting firms use the platform in workforce transformation and organisational planning projects.
Main said Orgvue operates in a market benefiting from structural growth drivers, as large organisations face increasingly complex workforce requirements and a greater need for continuous workforce planning and optimisation.
The company’s proprietary data model, cloud-native technology and workforce management expertise provide a platform for further expansion, according to Main.
Sjoerd Aarts, managing partner and head of Benelux and the UK at Main, said Orgvue had established a strong position in an international market supported by the growing importance of continuous workforce planning.
Main will work with CEO Oliver Shaw and the wider management team to build on that position through product innovation, international expansion and targeted M&A.
