AI Infrastructure Contracts Worth $2.8B Elevate Revenue Outlook
Last month, IREN executed multi-year AI cloud infrastructure agreements totaling $2.8 billion. Following this announcement, company leadership revised its fiscal 2026 annual revenue forecast upward, projecting figures exceeding $4 billion. These latest agreements incorporate a provision requiring clients to contribute approximately 45% of chip equipment expenses in advance, providing IREN with immediate capital to finance continuous expansion activities.
The Horizon 1 data center facility was successfully delivered to Microsoft on August 13. Additionally, IREN achieved Nvidia Exemplar Cloud designation for its GB300 NVL72 infrastructure. The acquisition of cloud software company Mirantis was finalized on August 4, strengthening IREN’s AI hosting capabilities.
Previously, IREN locked in a substantial $9.7 billion agreement with Microsoft alongside a $3.4 billion arrangement with Nvidia, establishing itself as a significant player in AI infrastructure partnerships.
During June, the company completed its purchase of Nostrum Group to expand its AI cloud presence across European markets. Late June also saw IREN’s inclusion in the Russell 1000 Index, increasing visibility among institutional investment firms.
Analyst Projections for Upcoming Earnings
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, Wall Street forecasts quarterly revenue approaching $132 million. Analysts anticipate a per-share loss of $0.55, primarily attributed to substantial capital deployment in facility construction and semiconductor acquisitions. The preceding quarter saw the company report a $0.33 per-share loss.
Market participants will focus on cash flow generation from the Microsoft partnership, semiconductor procurement strategies, and the pace at which recently announced contracts translate into recurring revenue streams.
HC Wainwright upgraded its price objective from $85 to $90 while maintaining its Buy recommendation. Goldman Sachs preserved its Neutral position. Weiss Ratings shifted its rating from Hold to Sell. Both Compass Point and JPMorgan issued updates, with JPMorgan increasing its target from $39 to $46 while retaining an Underweight classification.

Institutional investors control 41.08% of outstanding shares. California State Teachers’ Retirement System dramatically expanded its stake by 6,197.8% during the second quarter, acquiring more than 22.5 million shares valued at approximately $1.05 billion.
