This 18-month engagement will focus on transforming HHS’s approach to cyber governance, risk assessment and regulatory compliance throughout its entire enterprise infrastructure.

Under the terms of the agreement, Telos will implement its comprehensive Xacta platform for two critical HHS departments: the Office of the Chief Information Officer and the Office of Information Security.

The deployment encompasses three distinct technology solutions: Xacta 360, Xacta.io and Xacta.ai.

The contract scope extends beyond pure software implementation. It encompasses comprehensive cybersecurity services including enterprise-level integration, personnel training programs and complete data migration assistance.

      Understanding the Xacta Technology Platform

The Xacta 360 component manages security authorization processes. It oversees control assessments, handles compliance documentation requirements and enables real-time continuous monitoring capabilities.

Xacta.io functions as a data aggregation engine, collecting information from multiple security applications. This provides HHS leadership with comprehensive visibility into enterprise-wide cyber threats and security status.

Xacta.ai incorporates advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. This component aims to reduce manual intervention requirements and accelerate compliance-related processes.

John B. Wood, chairman and CEO of Telos, addressed the contract award. He noted that implementing the complete Xacta suite throughout HHS demonstrates the platform’s capability to serve large-scale, intricate federal operations.

      Federal Authorization and Corporate Overview

The Xacta technology suite holds FedRAMP Class D (High) authorization. This represents the most stringent security classification within the federal authorization framework.

This certification enables government agencies to deploy the cloud-based solutions in systems processing sensitive unclassified data. Such authorization is essential for securing federal contracts at this magnitude.

Telos markets itself as a comprehensive provider of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and enterprise protection solutions. The company serves federal government agencies, heavily regulated sectors and multinational corporations.

This HHS contract expands Telos’s portfolio of government engagements. The firm has strategically focused on supporting agencies requiring elevated security certifications for their technology infrastructure.

Specific implementation dates for the Xacta deployment at HHS were not disclosed. The 18-month performance period commenced immediately upon contract execution.
