      U.S.-China Tariff Agreement Excludes LNG

The recent tariff agreement between the United States and China does not address liquefied natural gas (LNG), leaving current pricing benchmarks such as the Japan Korea Marker (JKM) and the Title Transfer Facility (TTF) largely unchanged. This development was reported by Platts, indicating that the exclusion of LNG from the deal may maintain the status quo in the market for the time being.

The establishment of the U.S.-China Board of Trade could pave the way for future discussions regarding commodities, which may eventually include U.S. LNG exports to China. However, as it stands, there will be no immediate alterations to LNG trade flows between the two nations, and any broader negotiations are expected to take several months to materialize.
