U.S. Diesel Prices Reach Record High of $6.53 per Gallon

U.S. diesel prices have surged to a new record of $6.527 per gallon, a significant increase from $3.688 per gallon a year ago. This rise in prices is attributed to tightening supply conditions in the market.

The restrictions on Russian diesel exports and ongoing disruptions to crude oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz have contributed to the current situation. Analysts from Commerzbank have indicated that the diesel market may face challenges this winter if the disruptions in the Middle East continue and if Russia prolongs its export limitations.
