U.S. Economic Adviser Reports Deceleration in Inflation

Kevin Hassett, a White House economic adviser, has indicated that inflation in the United States has shown a clear deceleration over the past three months. This assessment comes amid ongoing discussions about the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and its independence in managing inflation rates.

Hassett emphasized the importance of respecting the Federal Reserve's autonomy, particularly as it considers potential interest rate hikes. He noted that former President Donald Trump is likely to express his views on any decisions made by the Fed regarding rate adjustments.

In addition to inflation concerns, Hassett mentioned proposed payments of $5,000 to citizens, suggesting that these could be implemented in a fiscally responsible manner, possibly through reconciliation processes.
