Financial markets experienced notable shifts as short-term U.S. Treasury yields increased, with the 2-year Treasury yield rising by 7 basis points to reach 4.74%. This uptick in yields coincided with a strengthening of the U.S. dollar, which gained 0.5% as measured by the Dollar Index.
In commodities, oil prices fell by 3.6%, settling at $102.05 per barrel. Gold also saw a decline, slipping 0.5% to $4,269.95 per ounce. Meanwhile, Bitcoin experienced a slight increase, rising by 0.4% to approximately $76,174. These movements reflect ongoing market adjustments in response to economic indicators and investor sentiment.
