      The payment processing giant has advanced 6.37% over the trailing twelve months, generating a total return of 6.85% during that timeframe. The stock currently commands a price-to-earnings multiple of 31.56, while trading above its 50-day moving average of $353.73 and its 200-day moving average of $329.61.

      Visa’s latest quarterly performance provided substantial momentum for investors. The company delivered earnings per share of $3.32, exceeding analyst projections of $3.23 by nine cents. Quarterly revenues reached $11.63 billion, topping the Street’s expectation of $11.40 billion.

      The revenue figure represented a 14.4% year-over-year improvement from the prior-year period when earnings stood at $2.98 per share. The company maintained a net profit margin of 50.78% alongside a return on equity of 67.68%.

      Wall Street Confidence Stays Strong

      Wall Street analysts continue expressing strong conviction in the stock. Susquehanna affirmed its “positive” stance while elevating its price objective to $427 from a previous $410. Piper Sandler increased its target to $430, highlighting artificial intelligence-driven expansion opportunities while keeping an Overweight designation.

      BNP Paribas Exane elevated Visa to “strong buy” status during July. Truist Financial established a $406 target, while BMO Capital Markets adjusted its objective upward from $387 to $405 alongside an “outperform” recommendation. The Street consensus currently stands at $413.58, with seven analysts rating the stock “Strong Buy” and 24 assigning “Buy” ratings.

      Analyst projections anticipate Visa will generate $13.16 in earnings per share for the complete fiscal year.

      Shareholder Returns Take Center Stage

      Visa’s board of directors greenlit a $20 billion stock buyback authorization in April, representing approximately 3.6% of shares outstanding. The company simultaneously announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.67 per share, distributed on September 1 to shareholders recorded as of August 11. This translates to an annualized dividend of $2.68 and a current yield near 0.7%.

      While analyst sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive, InvestingPro indicates the shares may be trading above their calculated fair value.

      Institutional investors maintain substantial positions, controlling 82.15% of outstanding shares. Osmosis Investment Management UK reduced its holdings by 49% during the second quarter, maintaining 55,770 shares valued at approximately $19.13 million.
