Woodward to Relocate Military Flight Control Production to Spartanburg

Woodward Inc., a company specializing in aerospace and industrial controls, has announced plans to relocate its military flight control actuation production to Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. The new facility is expected to commence operations in the summer of 2027, focusing on the production of spoiler actuation systems for the Airbus A350 aircraft.

The transition to the Spartanburg facility is projected to incur cumulative pre-tax charges ranging from $34 million to $47.5 million. This move is part of Woodward's strategic efforts to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and streamline operations in the aerospace sector.
