AMC CEO Criticizes Robinhood Leadership Over SEC Relations and Tokenized Stocks

Adam Aron, the CEO of AMC Entertainment Holdings, has publicly addressed Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher on the social media platform X. Aron highlighted Robinhood's previous endorsement of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) position regarding the tokenization of U.S. stocks, emphasizing that tokenized stocks should retain voting rights and that companies should have the option to opt-out of such arrangements.

Aron expressed concern over potential hypocrisy if Robinhood were to disregard these principles in its international operations. He cautioned the company against openly challenging the SEC, urging them to maintain a respectful stance towards the regulatory body. This statement reflects ongoing tensions in the financial sector regarding the regulation of digital assets and the rights associated with tokenized shares.
