Anthropic's Claude Platform Ranks Third in Enterprise AI Agent Market

Anthropic's Claude platform has secured the third position in the enterprise AI agent market, capturing 18% of deployments. This places it behind Microsoft Copilot Studio, which leads with 31%, and Salesforce Agentforce, holding 24%. Together, these three platforms account for 73% of all tracked enterprise agent deployments, highlighting a competitive landscape in this rapidly evolving sector.

Despite its significant share of enterprise spending on large language models (LLMs), where it commands approximately 40% compared to OpenAI's 27%, Claude faces challenges in becoming the primary platform for companies. A recent tracker indicates that Microsoft Copilot Studio leads in primary-platform adoption at 38.6%, followed by OpenAI at 25.7%, while Anthropic lags at just 5.7%. This disparity underscores the difficulty Anthropic faces in translating its model usage into a dominant platform position.

The enterprise AI agent market, valued at $7.6 billion in 2025, is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 43.84% through 2034. Microsoft and Salesforce benefit from their deep integration into existing enterprise software ecosystems, making it costly for companies to switch platforms. In response, Anthropic has launched Claude Managed Agents in 2026, aiming to enhance its offerings and address the orchestration gap in enterprise AI. As regulatory frameworks around AI tighten, Anthropic's focus on governance and safety features may become increasingly relevant, potentially strengthening its market position.
