Bitcoin ETFs Draw Up to $189.8M on October 2 as Ether Funds…

U.S. crypto ETF flows diverged sharply on Friday, October 2, with Bitcoin funds extending their rebound, Ether products remaining under redemption pressure and Solana ETFs returning to marginal inflows.Farside Investors currently reports $31.7 million of Bitcoin inflows, but that figure excludes BlackRock's IBIT because its October 2 entry remains blank. An independent ETF dataset reports IBIT subsequently attracted $158.2 million, which would lift the completed Bitcoin total to approximately $189.8 million.Fidelity's FBTC contributed $29.3 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT added $2.4 million, while the remaining Bitcoin funds recorded zero flows in Farside's table. Ether ETFs, meanwhile, recorded at least $17.3 million of net outflows, while Solana products attracted $1.3 million.

BlackRock Data Changes Bitcoin's Friday Picture

The difference between the provisional and completed Bitcoin numbers is substantial. Farside's October 2 table shows FBTC at +$29.3 million and MSBT at +$2.4 million, producing its $31.7 million headline total. BlackRock's IBIT remains unreported in that table.TFTC's ETF dataset, however, now records $158.2 million flowing into IBIT, alongside the same $29.3 million for FBTC and $2.4 million for MSBT. That produces a $189.8 million category total.Using the more complete figure, Friday represented an acceleration from Bitcoin ETFs' $102.7 million inflow on October 1, which itself followed a $148.7 million withdrawal on September 30.Bitcoin funds would therefore have attracted approximately $292.5 million across October 1-2, quickly recovering the September 30 outflow. The week's broader picture remained substantially weaker than the preceding surge. Even including the late IBIT figure, flows were far below the $2.39 billion absorbed during September 21-25.

Ether Remains Negative, Solana Adds $1.3M

Ether ETFs extended their losing streak on Friday. Farside records a $17.3 million withdrawal from Fidelity's FETH, with Bitwise ETHW, 21Shares TETH, VanEck ETHV, Invesco QETH, Franklin EZET, Morgan Stanley MSSE and both Grayscale products recording zero flows.BlackRock's ETHA and ETHB entries remain blank, however, meaning the −$17.3 million category total remains provisional. That follows $55.4 million of Ether ETF outflows on October 1, $59.6 million on September 30 and $2.8 million on September 29. Ether funds have therefore recorded four consecutive negative sessions based on currently reported data, reversing the strong inflow streak seen during the preceding week.Solana provided the cleanest finalized number. Farside reports $1.3 million of net inflows on October 2, entirely attributable to Bitwise's BSOL. VanEck's VSOL, FSOL and TSOL, Franklin's SOEZ, Morgan Stanley's MSOL and Grayscale's GSOL were all flat. That marked a return to positive territory after Solana ETFs lost $1.1 million on October 1 and $12.5 million on September 30.The Friday data therefore reinforces an increasingly differentiated institutional market.Bitcoin demand recovered strongly, Ether continued experiencing redemptions and Solana stabilized near neutral. The principal data caveat is BlackRock. Farside's Friday tables remain incomplete for IBIT, ETHA and ETHB. For Bitcoin, another dataset now supplies the missing $158.2 million IBIT inflow, implying a completed total of $189.8 million rather than Farside's provisional $31.7 million.Until BlackRock's missing Ether entries are similarly resolved, however, Ether's $17.3 million outflow should still be treated as provisional rather than final.
